Wisdom Teeth

Wisdom teeth can be very problematic. Specialist diagnostic Cone Beam CT (CBCT) scanning is used to carefully plan the surgery to minimise the risk of post operative complications.

TMD

TMD

Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) refer to a group of conditions that affect the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and the surrounding muscles. Common symptoms of TMD include jaw pain, clicking or popping sounds when opening or closing the mouth, difficulty chewing, and locking of the jaw.

Vahé offers assessment and non-surgical management options.

Frenectomy

A frenectomy is a minor and simple surgical procedure used to remove or modify a small fold of tissue called a frenulum. It's commonly performed to address issues related to restricted tongue movement (tongue tie) or a high lip attachment.

Frenectomy can significantly improve oral function and overall oral health.

tooth

Impacted Teeth

An impacted tooth occurs when a tooth fails to fully emerge through the gums. Leaving impacted teeth untreated can lead damage of the adjacent teeth. The roots of neighboring teeth may start to resorb (dissolve) or wear away over time due to pressure exerted by the impacted tooth.

tooth

Botox

Botulinum injections are available through your insurance for medical conditions such as masseter hypertrophy (characterised by excessive grinding of teeth) and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).

Additionally, this can be offered on a self-funding basis for facial wrinkle treatment.

Oral Biopsy

An incisional biopsy is recommended when a definitive diagnosis of an oral lesion cannot be determined through clinical examination. Excisional biopsies (complete removal of the lesion) is available for clearly benign conditions.

All biopsy specimens are sent for specialised histopathology evaluation by experts, ensuring precise diagnosis and guiding appropriate treatment strategies.
