The right treatment begins with a careful diagnosis. Following assessment, Mr Cooper will explain the options, expected recovery and relevant risks before any treatment is arranged.
Wisdom teeth can become impacted, infected, decayed or cause damage to neighbouring teeth. Treatment begins with a careful clinical and radiographic assessment.
Specialist Cone Beam CT scanning may be used to plan surgery accurately and help minimise the risk of postoperative complications.

Temporomandibular disorders affect the jaw joints and the surrounding muscles. Symptoms can include jaw pain, clicking, popping, difficulty chewing and locking of the jaw.

Assessment and non-surgical management
A frenectomy is a minor surgical procedure used to remove or modify a small fold of tissue called a frenulum.
It may be recommended to address restricted tongue movement, commonly known as tongue-tie, or a high lip attachment. Treatment can help improve oral function and oral health in appropriately selected patients.
Lingual, labial and maxillary frenectomy
An impacted tooth occurs when a tooth fails to emerge fully through the gum or develops in an abnormal position.
If left untreated, an impacted tooth may damage neighbouring teeth. Pressure from the impacted tooth can cause adjacent roots to resorb or wear away over time.
Removal, exposure and orthodontic management
Oral medicine focuses on the diagnosis and management of chronic, recurrent and medically related disorders of the mouth.
This includes conditions affecting the oral mucosa, salivary glands and orofacial region. It often involves patients with complex medical histories who require specialist assessment and coordinated care.
Diagnosis and management of oral conditions
Botulinum toxin injections may be available through medical insurance for conditions such as masseter hypertrophy, excessive tooth grinding and hyperhidrosis.
Treatment may also be available on a self-funding basis for selected facial aesthetic concerns following appropriate assessment.
Medical and selected self-funded treatment
An incisional biopsy may be recommended when a definitive diagnosis cannot be made through clinical examination alone. For clearly benign conditions, complete removal with an excisional biopsy may be appropriate.
All specimens are sent for specialist histopathology assessment, helping provide an accurate diagnosis and guide any further treatment.
